I Write . . .

I write what I believe to be true, and I share what I believe to be helpful to others. The truth exists whether it is believed in or not. If you believe what I write, you are subject to the same chance of being wrong as I am. We base our beliefs on evidence. What is evident to me may be evident to others as well. And the right to express what we believe is granted by a Higher Source other than worldly government. But that right is still part of the Constitution of the United States of America.

The First Amendment to the Constitution reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Adhering to the Constitution is what has kept us free so far. It was not by fear of, or retaliation to, would-be terrorists. It was not by treating our fellow humans as anything less, whether by torture of possible perpetrators or withholding civil liberties.

Let us protect the values of freedom, and the document that defines them.

What is Essential Harmonic Enhancement? And Why?

When I decided to call my version of the Raindrop Technique: Essential Harmonic Enhancement Technique (EHET) I was asked, Why?

As anyone who has ever experienced the Raindrop Technique knows, it is so much more than a technique of dropping essential oils like raindrops on the back. It has more to do with attitude, with harmony, with all that is essential to enhancing health, well-being and life. It has to do with the life-force of therapeutic grade essential oils and the belief that all which is in harmony with life supports it.

Harmony is essential for advancement in all levels of existence. And the intent of harmonic balance is more important than technical skill--though that skill will be refined by right intent.

Essential oils are the volatile and aromatic liquids distilled from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes and seeds, and essences expressed from citrus fruits. Those essential oils produced without chemicals and distilled by low heat and pressure for the proper length of time (ensuring complete extraction) maintain the life force in a higher degree.

Besides essential oils, there are many other substances and methods for harmonic enhancement of our lives, as well. And as we seek improvement of our health and well-being in all areas of our lives we are led to the resources -- material and energetic, human and spiritual -- that reinforce our quest and evolution. We are free to choose the ones that best suit our needs. As we choose our resources in thought and feeling, action and association we develop our well-being and worth to self and community. We are unique individuals in the universal body of unlimited potential.

There is always the possibility of advancement, always the risk of regression. And there are always cycles of each--large and small. And accepting our place on the wave is a matter of free will and harmonic intent.

Recognizing there is a Higher Source outside ourselves and inside as well, is key to understanding advancement and decline. Understanding that if we can be better, we can be worse -- and we probably have been. Understanding that if we can do the right thing, we can do the wrong thing. That perfection is dynamic, not static. That if we can seek, we can find. If we can help, we can hinder. That we can help others, and others can help us. That we can choose for ourselves, and we can allow others to choose for us.

That health and abundance and harmony are possibilities realized in stages according to our state of acceptance, our state of consciousness. I accept my guidance, inner and outer, because I am a free agent of divine being.

Why Essential Harmonic Enhancement? Because I want to.

How about you?

A Manifesto for Living by the Spirit of the Laws of Life

--by Ardi Keim

I write this down because I know the truth in it.

I know that there are laws of life that govern our ways and means within it.

I know that the heart of that law is the spirit of the law. The letter of the law is merely a record of it, and that human records and human language is subject to human error.

I know that the spirit of the law is the Spirit of Life . . .

1. And that That One Force allows us free will and that such allowing is no error, though we may err in our willing.

2. And that such freedom ends where another's begins.

3. And that such freedom to choose our own circumstances, relationships and well-being underlies the fact that we are not owed anything.

4. And that all we have and attain is by focused manifestation by our own action in thought, planning, feeling and action.

5. And that our wealth is not because of ownership of any material substance, including money, but by claiming the values of freedom, respect, security, well-being, gratitude and love.

6. And that enriching our lives and the lives of others by the exchange of goods and services is of these positive values.

7. And keeping track of completion of such exchange can be by accurate record, or agreed upon token, or memory and trust.

8. And that no one has a right to claim a portion of the value of that exchange other than the parties to it.

9. And that those who do are operating outside the Laws of the Spirit of Life.

10. And that any entity regulating the following of the Laws are serving those who are guided by it.

11. And that when members of such entity do not operate by the Law, they are best replaced with those that will.

12. And that all ways and means to prompt compliance to the Law must be according to the Law.

Gemstones: Radiant Spheres of Healing Energy

This is a resource we have been using in our own alternative health regimen with some outstanding results. The article is from Gemisphere, provider of this method of energy medicine. Check it out. Even our cat can't keep his paws off these gems. (More on that later.)
~~~
Gemstones: Radiant Spheres of Healing Energy
From your innermost essence to your physical body, you are made of a continuous flow of life force.
This life force is a current of light, which springs from the source of life itself. When it flows freely, you experience joy, vitality, and vibrant health. In the natural course of living, however, various blockages accumulate within this flow. These blockages create dark clouds within you. They obscure your radiance and give rise to disharmony, pain, and disease.
Like us, the Earth is enlivened by life force. As the Earth was forming, life energy was infused into the planet’s crystalline matrices. Thus, the Earth’s gemstones came to embody and express the life force within the planet.
Gemstones radiate their life force with great power. When shaped and used properly, they can bring light into areas of darkness and neutralize blockages. As these blockages dissolve, the light of the life force can shine through to enliven, nourish, and heal you.
Each type of gemstone expresses a different frequency; therefore, it can address a different kind of blockage.
In a gemstone sphere, life force is continually drawn in from the entire surface of the sphere to the sphere’s center. As it moves toward the center, the life force becomes more and more concentrated. This concentration fuels the transformation of life force into gemstone energy with great power. This healing energy then radiates from the sphere to touch and enliven all dimensions of our being.
At Gemisphere.com, you can find gemstone-sphere necklaces that can enhance your health and well-being on every level—body, mind, emotions and spirit. These unique, therapeutic quality gemstones produce consistent and powerful benefits for their users.
personal people search
Though this is written today, 1/24/09, I set the post date as a year earlier because my intent is for this to be read by only those who do a google search on their own name. If your name is here and you recognize other key words of this entry, then there is a good chance we know each other. You see, I'm trying to contact some service buddies with whom I was in Thailand. I went by Gerry then.
Here are some words to Camp Friendship. Karat. Bangkok. Triplet. John Phillips
John Southworth. Tony Plaisance. Hotelname? . Bungalow. Lek. Linda or Dim. Wanna. Bar name? Ninteen-sixty what?
Fill in some details that only you would know, and match the names by commenting below.
A View of the Potential of Human Endeavor
The potential of human endeavor is in several areas, such as physical, intellectual and spiritual. To develop the mind potential is an exercise in gaining full control of one's life and experience in our interface with the material universe. This is a noble and grand accomplishment, which can go as far as ones own imagination--quite far as compared to the experiences of the masses who accept the ordinary and mundane as quite enough. A quantum leap in experience comes when we can accept the mode of operation outside the mind and its limits to explore regions and possibilities not even dreamed of by most. The challenge or risk then is to maintain a safety net or tether to keep us from harm, i.e., degeneration of experience or even termination of our physical existence by forces intentional or accidental.
We can either choose our experience, or choose to experience that which a chosen party will escort or guide us through. Either way it is a choice; mundane, extraordinary or unknown--passive, active or extreme. Each takes an appropriate system or regimen of preparation to progress, withstand adverse affects and protect our highest interest. It amounts to desire and intent, technique and experience, as well as training by a party we have learned to trust. This trust is established only by demonstrated results in attainment. Then the acceptance of our desired results is possible. Free will, discernment, practices and trust lead us to undreamed of adventure--the ultimate and unlimited experience of life in an ever-expanding universe.
Your experiences are yours to choose, and no one else can take them from you. What you know as truth is yours. Any belief not reinforced by personal experience is not founded in truth, but the intent of others--noble or not. Create your own life by the divine gift of free will. Freedom and adventure are partners in creation of an unlimited universe. Explore a possibility with a spiritual exercise from Eckankar.
This I Believe -- A New Year Message
What is resolution, but a promise
to stay within certain boundaries?
Too often we break out of these confines,
not just for lack of commitment,
but for the need to expand
in other areas now recognized.
I don't choose to limit myself.
Instead, I have
a New Years
Realization:
~~~

This I Believe

Since the age of reason I have wondered and asked the same questions as you. After my study so far in life's journal of search and action -- the works and lives of many masters and amateurs, including myself -- I have a new view of my own beliefs and choices, and the words, writings and paths of all.

The outer teachings of all religions and holy works have a deeper value not even recognized by the critical, the objective or scientific, and the standard of the masses. There is an inner truth available to us all, ever-changing, individual and sacred. Yet it is hidden till one's yearning is identified by the seeker. Truth is our genesis and it is our destiny.

It is said by some to be reclaimed by denial of the senses of flesh or the marvels and antics of intellect. Others say it is through the indulgence of the physical, or developing of full mental potential. Yet both viewpoints are lacking. Indulgence and denial, austerity and excess, as well as excelling in potential of body and mind -- these are all distractions on the way and inner call to truth. Yet each has its place while we inhabit our bodies, our planet. Alignment with truth is an experience of intimate revelation and so unlike that of any other's journey. That journey is one to the core or our being, yet beyond the limits of science, philosophy and religion .

Placing our fulfillment or salvation in the hands of an outer master, or the capacity of body or mind does not address who we really are. We are not our body, we are not our mind. And we are not the subjects of anyone who realizes, or claims to recognize the truth of this concept. We pick up our bodies at birth, and develop bodies and minds while on this earth, then shed them with our last breath. That breath of life is Soul, which is eternal, was before and always after. This is I. This I believe.

When we recognize who we are and why we are here on this planet, then our bodies and our minds become our primary instruments in relating and operating in the physical universe, if used according to the laws that govern them.

But there are other laws. Some, corrupt and profane. Others, sacred and secret. It is our search and reckoning, our negotiating and mastery of the obstacles and instruments by which we parry the deceptive and embrace our inheritance of wisdom, of freedom, of love.

Freedom and love are attributes beyond emotion and feelings of bliss. Emotion rides the waves of extremes in action and thought, power and grace, excess and denial. Love and freedom are the higher aspects of realizing who we are and that we are all individual expressions of the universal truth. They are the planks of the craft that sails above the storm, the laws and limits of matter, energy, time and space. It is recognizing there are no limits to life as Soul. There is only position in the environment of awareness. We are free to move or maintain our stations, free to act and accept all consequences. And we are free to claim the gifts of divine creation, through imagination, expression and initiation.

This I believe. And Truth exists whether it is believed in or not. It is living and breathing and changing as every imaginative expression is initiated. Creation is on-going. This I believe.

A Matter of Energy

Keeping your body healthy is an expression of gratitude to the whole cosmos - the trees, the clouds, everything.
--Thich Nhat Hanh

Life is everywhere. The earth is throbbing with it, it's like music. The plants, the creatures, the ones we see, the ones we don't see, it's like one, big, pulsating symphony.
--Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider, Northern Exposure,
Mite Makes Right, 1994

Health is a measure of quality of life while on this planet. We are units of matter and energy – body & soul. We are even considered by some as all energy. In quantum physics matter is shown to be coalesced energy. The mystical view is that we are Soul having a body in our control. The movie, What the Bleep Do We Know!?, brings together science and spirituality. Yes, we are energetic or spiritual beings living in the environment of this planet. But let’s consider here the combined unit of matter and energy, since its separation is more a matter of religious issue than the science of health.

We are matter and energy. We function in an environment of space and time. This condition of MEST is by a constantly changing formula. That is we interact with other units of matter and energy (human and non-human alike) coordinated as to proximity. Whether by choice or happenstance we come into contact with other materials and energy fields that affect who we are and how we function. We choose a food. We breathe. We call a depressed daughter. We drive our SUV past a power station. We fly into LAX. Everything we do affects our energy. Our energy affects others. Our energy affects our matter.

Health is a matter of energy. We can improve our health by making better energy selections. All healing modalities actually work, or don’t work, by this method. Even chemical changes in our bodies affect our thinking, our moods, our dreaming, and our stamina. It affects our energy. Rapport with one’s doctor does affect our healing. We may choose another to strengthen the healing connection. If we feel, it will.

Today there are a lot of choices for directing ones own health. Many of them are systems that recognize the role of energy in the healing process. Chinese medicine, Network Chiropractic, homeopathy, gemstone therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Therapeutic Touch are just a few of these approaches. The body’s innate intelligence is the real healer. The pattern for perfect health is stored in the DNA. Using that pattern as the template for our lives, our matter/energy units, is the key to lasting health.

Did you know that therapeutic grade essential oils not only have constituents that affect the physiology of cells to boost stamina and energy, as well as supporting the body’s natural defenses, but also have been known to enhance the benefits of other energetic healing systems? Young Living Essential Oils (available through Share Essence Interactive) has the highest quality and largest selection of these oils attainable. Their essential oil blend of Valor for instance, may help the body self-correct its balance and alignment. Some chiropractors are seeing quicker improvements in their patients when it is used prior to an adjustment. Practitioners of Therapeutic Touch, Reiki and acupressure may also benefit using some of the emotional blends, like Release, Grounding, and Believe.

Health choices we make are more than what is at first apparent. The matter of energy starts first with consciousness.

The Real World? -- Planet of the Apes

I'm seeing. I'm wondering. I'm scratching my head.

The political, economic and military principles seem to be like jumping monkeys in a zoo. (No offense George of the Jungle.) It's like we are watching the antics of these lesser primates, and thinking we are safe and secure outside the bars and cages. It would be entertaining if it really were a zoo and such animals were for our entertainment. But they are our leaders, our CEOs, our advisers. And it's very sad that we, the spectators, don't see how close to the Planet of the Apes we are.

What are your thoughts on this warring world, warming planets (it's not only this planet that is warming), and the media masters? Who can we believe?

Who's Driving Your Bus?

After reading an outstanding article Truth Or Consequences (a post on the condition of today's world), I have the following thoughts of my own:

Yes! It's all really common sense.

There are consequences for all of our actions. Aberrated actions are initiated by those who feel they have no power, so they assert themselves in a way to prove or dis-prove their belief. They just want to be acknowledged/understood/loved.

There is enough love for all. Our training from day one should enforce that.

But we are led to believe we have no power, and only those who can make a buck off our choices will lead us in love and life, health and prosperity. Whether it is corrupt government taxation, ads for mind-altering & body-enhancing drugs or media masturbation of the psychic wave of fear after a terrorist event--if someone wants your money, watch your their intentions and your course after submission.

Not that there isn't redeeming value in the mass media, popular culture and commercial/industrial enterprise. I think there is and I do subscribe to much of it by my choices in lifestyle. But do note: American Idol and the six-o'clock news, with their commercial breaks, show both ends of the spectrum--the best of values, and the worst. Be aware of the messages to the masses. Some subtle, some overt. And that's just TV.

Have you ever considered the number of school shooters, or mothers who kill their kids that are on anti-depressants. If the drug companies really felt their products were a benefit (to the patient not the profit-maker) they would not include in their ad: "There is no cure for ____, but (xyz brand) can help."

Bull! There is no condition that is not curable--internal, environmental, economic or whatever. The FDA?? Who do they really protect? Do some research.

We are taught that we need a savior or guru (religious or political, commercial or economic, in love and health) outside ourselves to pay respects for the meager and counterfeit blessings rendered in a dangerous world.

The only danger is not seeing who's in the driver seat. Love is the power that heals. If your belief is one of a higher power within yourself that is available to all, no matter what religion or nationality or position, then grab the wheel.

Take responsibility, not a joy ride (or drug-dulled one) down a road to a cliff.

Prius with Power

When I sold my 96 Honda Civic and bought a used 2002 Toyota Prius (hybrid) I thought driving in the slow lane would be the price of fuel efficiency. It strained to get up to highway speed and passing was out of the question.

Not so no moe! My Prius now has zip -- with the same good gas mileage. Before I noticed the increase in power I could feel that it was running smoother. And I plan on improving my fuel economy even more. According to independent SAE testing, I will get at least 13% better mileage after using it in several tanksfull. Check out how with (ME)2. Click the link. It's for real.

Realization: Freedom of Choice

I guess most people don't give it a lot of thought when social custom pulls toward compliance. Keeping the peace has its priority. But there is a question often posed on grand occasions, that gives me pause to consider. The occasion is The Wedding. The question is in a form of the following: Who gives this woman to wed?

Hmmm…

In weddings of the past, our culture has gone along with this rite, in support of the woman giving her love completely to her husband, forsaking all others—especially the parents, breaking the apron strings & tying a new knot. And since the first days of feminine liberation, the balancing question of, Who gives this man…?, made it all okay in the minds of most.

But is the question still as valid? Was it ever? To my mind, it’s not, when looked at in the bigger picture. In most of the Western world, arranged marriages are thought to be backwards. I believe they do have a valid place in some cultures, but not in mine. And we are all somewhat a product of our culture. Freedom of choice is purported to take precedence here.

Who gives this woman to wed?

I’d have to answer:

No one. God gave each of us the freedom to decide on our own choices in life and love. My daughter has chosen well.

There Is a Higher Calling

I'd like to add my voice
as one who is a citizen of the universe,
not a country.
Citizens do not start wars,
do not retaliate when wrong is done them,
do not take away the lives and property of others.
Citizens may defend against those who are not civil.
We may grieve when those among us are taken from us.
We may apologize
for the non-civil who live among us
and act in non-civil ways.

Citizens of the universe love all life
and want the highest good for all.
Please do not judge us
by those who claim to lead us.
We are led only by
the Universal Force of Love and Light.

And one day that Force will prevail.

Only the godless claim their god's greatness
as justification of war.
The non-civil really do not know God at all.
They act in their uncivil ways
because they have experienced
so little love in their lives.

What can we do for peace?
There is but one answer:

Love.

(Thank you, Rhi, for the inspiration.)

Internet Travel Shoppers

Check out our new internet travel site if you book your trips on the web. It will save you time and money. And it's free to use.

When you visit us at www.sharethesun.worldventures.com you will be able to find, with a single search, the lowest rates on the internet for airfare, auto rental, hotels, or cruises. Up to 200 travel sites are checked for the current rates for the dates, times and locations you are considering.

If you are an on-line travel shopper, you know that it takes time to peruse the many discount travel sites and airlines, etc., for the best deal available. For several years now, we did just that to book our trips. Sometimes we have spent hours, even days, finding what we could afford. Now the search engine on Share the Sun does this all for us in a matter of minutes. It pulls up, for example, all the flights for our desired time/destination, with the cheapest on the top. Clicking on a choice puts us right into the booking site, whether it is a discounter (like Expedia or Orbitz) or the airline (Northwest, United, etc.). Sometimes the cheapest isn't the best option (lay-overs, red-eyes, etc.) but there are dozens (or hundreds) of flights to look at--all on one site. Also with the filter options we can enter the number of stops and the airline name if we want to limit it.

World Ventures, the creators of the search engine, is a travel agency in Dallas, Texas. Their internet web functions are still in the beta stage of development, so there are on-going improvements. If you should experience any problems, or have questions, please contact us. Try out a travel search. They are unlimited and always free, even if you book.

Have Fun!

Share the Sun Travel
Contact us there. Click it to dream.

(If you like what you see, and want to learn how you can save even more, as well as earn free travel, you'll want to view World Venture's presentation. If you love to travel, or know others who do, here's a way to make your dreams come true.)

On Ann Coulter

There are whacked out people everywhere. It's good to know where they are to avoid their wrath and blundering, but I prefer to tune to those with higher consciousness. Getting caught up in the base emotion of hate, greed, righteousness, etc., just breeds more of it. I personally don't "pray" for anyone in the traditional sense, but give a more universal and detached blessing. E.g., May the Blessings Be. I believe the Source of Life operates by a master plan, and that all will eventually support it. Those who don't know, and operate against it, and of course those who know and do the same, will eventually face the effects of their own actions. The Law of Cause and Effect (karma) is the justice.

We all need a hug. And we all have access to the Source of Love. Those who don't know that will someday (some lifetime) learn.

Here is today's quote from the Eckankar website:

God loves Soul rich or poor. God does not necessarily love the poor more. God loves Soul. We can enjoy the things of this life and support our family with material goods with no feelings of guilt.

--Harold Klemp The Language of Soul

And my poem this morning on River-Tree Whispers:

Today's Gift

. everyday is a gift . but this one is sung from the trees . by full-feathered chorus line . and a squirrel . all song and nuts for the storm in the night . could have woke the dead . but i slept . sound in its lightning . nothing . but love and blessings . this earth . and its gift delivered . in light and sound .

I know this world is a harsh environment for Soul much of the time, but by practicing what I know is right, and using tools like the HU chant, I get by pretty good. :)

Thank you, Barbara, friend and artist. You make me think. See Barbara's work at Truthseeker.

Bird Flu: What Real Science Says

Though my last post was an attempt to present truth in a humorous way, truth is no laughing matter. Please use common sense and pursue with reason those sources of fact that are credible. Don't be spoon-fed by the media. Besides those that will profit from the scare are professionals who can prepare you with the straight story and common-sense action. Dr. Joseph Mercola is one. His view on the subject gives links to the real story, which you'll want to read, as well as alternatives to the actual health threats.

The Blogger Gods Know (who is really stealing my choices)

Well, my blogger passion is poetry, but sometimes I like to post other ideas, resources, etc. in this blog. So sometimes I put together a piece the best I can, knowing it's not done yet, and save it as a draft, hoping to get back to it soon. But, POOF! It disappears into some black hole in the blogisphere. SCREAM! It's like the blogger gods are saying, "Get back to your true mission."

So for now, let me just post this in an attempt to out-wit the gods:

Did you know that if you live in Vietnam, the country that is most "devastated" by a disease (that effects winged animals, and in rare instances humans too), you would have 5 chances in 10 million of dying from the dreaded disease?

The US population is 281,421,906. The annual number of those demised due to a related form of the dreaded disease is 36,000. That's up from 20,000 in their previous estimate. Hmmm. Let me do a little comparison math.

+ + + / ** - = % =, etc. . . .

Okay. This is worse than I thought. Even if the lower 20,000 figure is accurate, if I live in the US (and I do), I have a thousand times greater chance of kicking the big B by the common form of the illness, than if I live in Vietnam and croak like a common chicken farmer. That's if all the VN deaths were in one year. How long has this ailment been around? Oh man!! And I thought the Vietnam War was bad. I grew up on a farm and thought nothing of my chicken-tending duties. What danger did I put myself in? I could have been attacked by one that winged its way from Southeast Asia. Never can tell who in the population is a foreign imposter :)

I better play it safe. I'm checking on the cost of a move to the land of rice paddies and free-range poultry.

Oh, and if you want to see who's getting rich on a certain medical hoax and scare, try a google search for the name of our sec of defiance :) and the name of the well-known farm-a-sue-tickle drug for treating dreaded disease. You may find the results a bit rummy.

Then again, if you would like to just mind your own business and live wherever you be, you might increase your chances of survival with the essential oil blend called Thieves. It is how I have avoided my usual winter illness the past 3 years. You can visit Share Essence to peruse what really works.

There’s Something We Have to Show You, Mr. President

Have you seen the news clip of the president’s visit to the 3M plant in Minnesota, Thursday, February 3rd?

Poor guy. He just wanted to brag on the company by displaying one of 3M’s innovations—the Post-It Note. When he couldn’t make it stick to his podium, my heart sank. Why didn’t someone brief him on the operation of this device?

There must be an appropriate publication at 3M’s corporate headquarters for the effective operation of the Post-It note. Or could it be that its simple use is self-evident?

Certainly not! Our President?

Surely there must be a Government Printing Office publication for the device. But checking GPO’s website (http://www.gpo.gov/) a search on Post-It, showed no matching documents. Even entering IAD for Impermanent Adhesive Device, knowing the government’s penchant for acronyms, gave no matches.

Then I even Googled the query. But “instructions for post-it notes” only referenced instructions written on Post-It notes. Now that’s a concept! Maybe the last leaf on a Post-It pad should be an always-at-ready user guide. Let me suggest some easy-to-comprehend wording for such a directive:

1. This device is designed for writing on the top side. That is the side facing up when the face of this instruction sheet—if still attached to the Post-It note pad—is placed face down.

2. After recording desired communiqué, peel off gently, being aware of the potential for self-inflected paper cuts to thumb or forefinger.

3. Choose a clean, smooth surface within view of intended readers of your memorandum.

4. Attach your Post-It note message by pressing lightly its top surface while the back is in contact with object on which it is to be mounted. (Note: The back side is that which has a tacky strip along one edge. See warning in #2 on paper-cut hazard.)

This last point is most important, Mr. President. Please study these instructions carefully before your next speech. This common, but puzzling office product need not confound your mission with further embarrassment.

Reaction, Response, Infusion with Consciousness

I must apologize for this lengthy post. For some, like myself, it may be too much for casual reading. I realized after some time of blog surfing that I prefer quick hits of a paragraph or two, and poetry of short verse, etc. Blogs of short entries are the ones I return to most often. Life is too full for rambling meanderment. But I feel this view is worth the longer perusal.

With the state of civilization spiraling into the sub-layers of consciousness, there is a broad range of acknowledgement, from passive response to reactionary violence. A culture of war, greed for money and power, and corruption in business, government, even agencies of human service seems to be at an all time high. What are we to do today?

Some are greatly depressed and see a hopeless future. Others ignore the turmoil, hoping things will turn around before the situation demands personal acknowledgement in severe form. Then there are activists, some quite peaceful, and others in various degrees of civil disobedience. At the extreme end, those who see armed revolution or terrorist attacks as the last resort, are at the center of much turmoil today. War and sacrificing of human rights seems to be the solution of those in power. Is there a more balanced response by we the people whose government (in the USA) was formed to serve us?

Those of a higher standard know that ultimately the primary solution is an uplifting of consciousness. Doing nothing or reacting with resistance or retribution are really ineffective in the larger scheme of things. If civilization on the planet can be uplifted at this stage of evolution, it is by strengthening our divine connection, or reconnecting with our source. This, I believe, is the higher response, and will even mitigate the effects of those who only mouth support for truth and justice?

Yet too often, it seems, there are those claiming the highest truth as their driving force, but ignore the problem in the name of non-reaction. Neutrality or detachment may be good in a spiritual sense, yet lack of acknowledgement or compassion for the suffering of others is not the response of the spiritually evolved.

Facing the problems of this world with appropriate action does not mean meditating in our caves of spiritual contentment out of harm's way. Nor does it mean that the dollars we give to a worthy cause, or the votes cast for a candidate, or letters written in defense or objection to some policy will necessarily change the world. These are human actions which are all too often misguided or misdirected once enacted. Misappropriation of funds, voting results manipulation, and media smoke and hype too often result in the opposite result of intent. And even if our objectives are fulfilled, we are merely human and even the most well-meaning are wrong much of the time. It is part of the human condition. Mistakes are how we learn best.

But as human beings, we live and learn and operate in complex realms. The physical forces of our environment, cultural elements, both social and intellectual, as well as our religious and spiritual beliefs, all modulate our effectiveness on this planet. The range of these parameters is unlimited. How does planetary consciousness evolve? The same way it spirals downward: by participation of its populace. If some choose to participate less, they will have less effect. If those who claim to be of higher consciousness choose not to participate, those of the other ilk will tilt the ramp a bit more downward. When we intentionally shine the light toward others, the radiance becomes more brilliant.

Whether voting, charitable giving, or communicating by word or dollars spent has a perceived beneficial effect or not, it is conscious intent that is ultimately manifest.

I vote, I give, I write, not to change the world, but as a human form of expression that is modulated with divine intent. I have declared myself a channel of love for all life. When I go to the poles to vote, it is not because I believe the candidate or initiative of my choice is the best option. Often I am very unsure about that. But rather, I act within the system to infuse the process with Love. This, I believe, is necessary to reverse the forces opposed.

Withdrawing from all matters outside the realm of ones own spiritual reality is little better than reacting to the ills of society with dramatic resistance and revolt. Attempting to accomplish change in a reactionary way is ineffective spiritually. It actually feeds the opposing force on a psychic level and defines their enemy. Is not the way of love -- infusing our action with a higher law, the Law of Love -- the means to raising human consciousness? We human beings, fallible and imperfect, are what the Supreme Being has to work with. I will not say: Currently out of service.

Intent is useless without action on the field where the game is played. Know you are loved and pass it on.
